These past few months have been series and series of leaks surrounding the Galaxy S22 series and Samsung has finally come out themselves to personally confirm the date of its launching.

The long-awaited series will officially be showcased at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event that’s scheduled on 9 February at 11pm MYT. Other than that, we’ll probably be seeing the upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 series as well.

Of course, the company never mentioned the words “Galaxy S22,” but the trailers posted on Youtube and Twitter pretty much gives it away.

Samsung Malaysia is also giving you a chance to receive a RM200 e-voucher that you can use to pre-order the Next Galaxy devices. Just head onto their website, fill in your particulars, answer a few questions, and you’re done.

It’ll run on either the Exynos 2200 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, paired with 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage. For cameras, it houses 108MP + 12MP + 10MP + 10MP rear cameras and a 40MP selfie camera. It’s price converted from EUR to MYR starts from RM5,900.

On the other hand, the S22+ will feature a 6.55-inch display with its vanilla variant rocking a slightly smaller 6.06-inch display. Moreover, both will be equipped with a 50MP + 12MP + 10MP triple-rear camera setup and a 10MP selfie camera. The other differences could be in their SoCs as well as the S22+’s 4,500mAh battery and S22’s 3,800mAh battery. Prices for the S22+ could start from RM4,900 and RM4,000 for the vanilla variant.
