Apple is finally introducing iPhone Xs and Xs Max in Malaysia, and for the first time ever Apple is allowing consumers to pre-order the iPhones on their website.

While both the iPhones have Super Retina HD display, the iPhone Xs comes with a 5.8-inch OLED display, whereas the iPhone Xs Max comes with a 6.5-inch OLED display. Both smartphones have fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating and has IP68 rating which means that it is water resistant to a depth of 2 metres, an hour more than the iPhone X, and can last up to 30 minutes. A noticeable new feature is that the smartphones now support dual SIM, whereby one is a nano-SIM slot and the other is a eSIM slot.
The iPhone Xs and Xs Max runs on iOS 12 and are powered by A12 Bionic chip with second generation Neural Engine that has eight cores, which results in better performance with less power consumption. The GPU uses four cores and the graphics performance surpasses the A11 Bionic chip up to 50%. Both models has built-in lithium-ion battery and supports both wireless charging and fast charging. The battery life is said to be 30 minutes longer for the iPhone Xs and 90 minutes longer for the iPhone Xs Max. There are three variants of internal storage which are 64GB, 256GB and 512 GB.

In terms of camera, both models have dual 12MP sensor that has OIS, in which the wide-angle lens has f/1.8 aperture whereas the telephoto lens has f/2.4 a aperture that allows 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. The portrait mode now has Depth Control which allows you to control the clarity of your image’s background. The camera also supports 4K video at 24, 30 or 60 fps whereas the slow-motion video supports 1080p at 120 or 240 fps. The front camera of the iPhone Xs and Xs Max is known as the TrueDepth Camera, and it is a 7MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. Similar to the rear camera, it has portrait mode with Depth Control. In addition, the TrueDepth Camera has Animoji and Memoji and is equipped with auto image stabilisation.
