Huawei Malaysia has confirmed that the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series will make its local debut on 29 September 2026. The new smartwatch family will arrive in standard 46mm and 41mm sizes alongside a Pro model, bringing longer battery life, brighter displays and expanded health and sports features.
New health insights led by a Universiti Malaya study
One of the headline additions is a HUAWEI-exclusive Diabetes Risk Study led by Universiti Malaya. The research initiative combines pulse-wave signals collected by the watch’s PPG sensor with factors such as age, gender, height and weight. After three to 14 days of continuous wear, it provides an assessment intended to encourage health awareness and earlier lifestyle changes.
Huawei stresses that this is a research study rather than a medical feature. Its results are for reference only and cannot diagnose diabetes, monitor treatment effectiveness or replace professional medical care.
The series also introduces Huawei’s Physical Readiness Score, which combines recovery, heart-rate variability, sleep, activity and emotional-wellbeing data into a single daily assessment.
Brighter displays and more durable materials
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 will be offered in 46mm and 41mm versions across seven colour options. The 46mm model comes in Yellow, Blue and Black, while the smaller edition will be available in Blue, White, Pink and Grey.
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro uses a nano-tech ceramic bezel, titanium-alloy middle frame and sapphire glass. It will be offered with Yellow, Green or Black fluoroelastomer straps. Across the range, the AMOLED display can reach up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness for better visibility outdoors, while Huawei’s new EasyCross Strap uses a tuck-under design for a cleaner fit.
Improved tracking for outdoor sports
Enhanced AI-XDR Positioning is designed to improve route tracking in difficult environments. Smart Route Reconstruction can estimate sections where GPS reception was lost, while the Pro model adds golf tools including Plays-like Distance and Shot Distance tracking.
Cyclists also get Intelligent Climbing Planning, Sharp Turn Alerts and Lactate Threshold Analysis. Battery life reaches up to 21 days on the WATCH GT 7 Pro and WATCH GT 7 46mm, while the 41mm model is rated for up to 14 days.
The watches retain compatibility with Android and iOS smartphones as well as Touch ’n Go QR payments. The Pro model additionally supports ECG functionality certified under CE and Malaysia’s Medical Device Authority.
Malaysia pricing and availability
Huawei will reveal Malaysian pricing during the official launch on 29 September 2026. The series will be sold through HUAWEI Experience Stores, Huawei’s official website, Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop.
Launch offers will include gifts worth up to RM713, depending on the model and promotion. Huawei lists the EasyCross Strap, FreeBuds SE 2, three months of HUAWEI Health+, one month of Watch Face Membership, a one-year Worry-Free Care Package and a one-year APAC warranty among the available extras. A limited-time RM100 rebate and 10% discount with SPayLater are also planned, with final terms expected at launch.
