With Samsung’s reputation on the line after the great fall of its Galaxy Note 7, rumor has it that the company will be quick to push out its upcoming flagship – the Galaxy S8, which might see a very early launch next year. Meanwhile, a Galaxy C9 has been caught on the Antutu benchmarking app, and it seems like Samsung will soon be joining other manufacturers whose phones sport 6GB of RAM.

The Galaxy C9 spotted on Antutu with the model number SM-C9000 shows pretty impressive specs, though it will still belong to the mid range spectrum of smartphones. The phone will be featuring a 6-inch display at Full HD resolution, a Snapdragon 652 processor with a staggering 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. If this turns out to be true, the Galaxy C9 will be Samsung’s first ever 6GB RAM phone. Previous handsets known to be powered by 6GB of RAM are the VIVO XPlay5, the OnePlus 3 and the recently launched LeEco Pro 3.

Samsung appears to not hold back when it comes to the C9’s camera. According to the benchmark, the phone is said to be sporting 16MP rear and front cameras. The Galaxy C9 will be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. These specs are pretty much all we need to know about a phone, apart from its battery capacity. But chances are that Samsung will be packing the C9 with a bigger than 3,000mAh battery for its 6-inch screen.

Unfortunately, Samsung’s Galaxy C series have known to only stay within mainland China, and that will most likely be the case for the Galaxy C9 as well. What do you think? What are the odds of Samsung packing 6GB of RAM into their phones?
