ASUS launches new ZenBook laptops with OLED displays

ASUS’ new lineup of ZenBook devices have been launched, bringing to the market three new models, two of which pack awesome OLED display panels.

This 13.3-inch device packs a 4K OLED touch display that offers a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, is PANTONE validated, and is VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black-certified.  

ASUS claims that this is the world’s thinnest 13-inch laptop, and with a thickness of just 1.39 cm, it’s probably true. The laptop packs an all-aluminium alloy body finished with Jade Black along with copper accents for an extra premium touch. 

Under the hood is an Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU and 16GB RAM, and up to 1TB of PCIe NVMe SSD. The laptop also comes with 2x Thunderbolt 4 Type C ports, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, and one HDMI port.

There’s no LAN port here, but there is support for WiFi 6 which is capable of getting you up to 2.4Gbps of transfer speeds. You can also opt to get the ASUS Pen 2.0 stylus which makes sketching easier on the laptop’s touch display. 

A big selling point of the ZenBook Flip S is its impressive 10-hour battery life even with 4K resolution enabled. The laptop ships with a 65W power adapter. 

The laptop is priced at RM6,799.

This 13.3-inch laptop comes with a FHD OLED touch panel that offers 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut.  

The design of the laptop is still built of all aluminium but it boasts a simple grey aesthetic without copper accents.

In terms of hardware, you can choose to equip the device with an Intel Core i5-1135G7, and an Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU; 8GB RAM and 512GB of storage via a PCIe NVMe SSD. Like the ZenBook Flip S, you get WiFi 6 support here as well and the same array  of I/O ports. 

The laptop is able to offer up to 14 hours of battery life and supports the same 65W of charging.  

The Core i5 model is priced at RM4,699; while the Core i7 variant will set you back RM5,199.

ASUS’ signature dual-screen laptop gets refreshed with Intel’s new 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 and Core i7-1165G7 CPUs. 

For graphics, you get the NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU; and you get up to 16GB RAM, while your storage option is limited to a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. 

There is no OLED panel this time around back you still get a decent 14-inch FHD display that’s PANTONE-validated, and offers 100% sRGB colour output. The second display – dubbed the ScreenPad Plus – measures at 12.6-inches in size and supports touch controls.

The second display tilts at a 7-degree angle, for better visibility, and it supports the Screen Xpert 2 software that has more built-in apps to improve productivity. 

In terms of I/O ports, you get 2x Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1x HDMI, 1x 3.5mm headphone jack, and 1x MicroSD card reader. 

The Core i5+8GB RAM model is price at RM5,499 and the Core i7+16GB RAM model is priced at RM6,499. 

All three laptops are available from today onwards, and can be purchased via ASUS’ authorized dealers, and the brands’ official e-stores.
