ASUS has finally given it’s entry-level FX series gaming laptops the TUF (The Ultimate Force) branding, and in conjunction with the launch of Intel’s Coffee Lake H series processors, the TUF FX504 has been introduced as an extremely durable gaming laptop. Featuring a 15.6-inch display and weighing 2.3kg, the TUF FX504 features a patented Anti-Dust Cooling feature which keeps dust out of it’s internals for consistent system performance, the laptop will come equipped with either a 8th Generation Core i5 or i7 processor, graphics maxes out at GTX 1050Ti, and all models come with a 1TB FireCuda SSHD as standard.
The TUF FX504 isn’t just made for gaming, but also ASUS intends the user to have it for work and entertainment, as the laptop’s backlit keyboard features a 20-million keystroke lifespan that’s built according to the company’s TUF standards, it also offers a decent key travel distance of 1.8mm and a 0.25 keycap curves to avoid typing errors, the WASD gaming keys are highlighted and the space bar is intentionally broaden as well. In terms of audio, ASUS has enabled DTS Headphone:X 7.1-channel surround sound on headphones, laptop speakers and external speakers.
At this time of writing, ASUS hasn’t announced the availability and pricing of the TUF FX504, but we should expect them to arrive in May or show up in COMPUTEX this year.
