Huawei has finally announced the pricing and availability of its latest Huawei Watch 2 stateside and it isn’t at all surprising. The company has announced that the Huawei Watch 2 is now available for sale in the US at selected physical and online retailers from today onwards. The smartwatch is currently being offered in Carbon Black and Concrete Grey color options and has a $300 (RM1,323.15) price tag.

The Huawei Watch 2 is definitely a sign of maturity in terms of wearables in general. It boasts a two day battery life plus a beautiful AMOLED display with no flat tire design like its predecessor. However, design and looks wise, the Chinese manufacturer seems to have strayed further from the conventional classic analog watch design when compared to the original Huawei Watch. The newer Huawei Watch 2 has a more beefy and sporty look to it, hence timepiece enthusiasts might not fancy the smartwatch as much.

Regardless, the Huawei Watch 2 runs Android Wear 2.0, and considering the slow rollout of the software to previous generation smartwatches, it might be worth getting this new Huawei wearable. Pricing and availability of the Huawei Watch 2 in Malaysia unfortunately hasn’t been announced just yet so keep those eyes peeled!
