DENZA is preparing to introduce its most technologically advanced model in Malaysia with the arrival of the all-new DENZA Z9GT, a flagship luxury grand tourer that combines cutting-edge electric vehicle technology, ultra-fast charging capabilities and premium craftsmanship. Scheduled to make its Asia Pacific debut in Malaysia on 15 July 2026, the Z9GT represents the next chapter in DENZA’s expansion, following the successful introduction of the DENZA D9 luxury MPV and DENZA B8 Luxury SUV Dual Mode Off-Road.
Built around the brand’s “Technology Drives Elegance” philosophy, the DENZA Z9GT integrates BYD’s latest innovations, including the revolutionary e3 Platform, Second Generation Blade Battery 2.0 and BYD Flash Charging Technology. Together, these technologies position the Z9GT as one of the most advanced luxury electric vehicles set to arrive in the Malaysian market.
Tri-Motor Performance Meets Everyday Practicality
At the heart of the DENZA Z9GT is BYD’s new e3 Platform, featuring a tri-motor all-wheel-drive system capable of producing up to 850kW, 1,156PS and 1,210Nm of torque. This enables the luxury grand tourer to sprint from 0-100km/h in just 2.7 seconds while offering up to 701km of NEDC-rated electric driving range, combining supercar-like performance with long-distance usability.
Beyond straight-line acceleration, the e3 Platform introduces several advanced driving technologies designed to improve manoeuvrability. Rear-wheel steering of up to 15 degrees allows the Z9GT to achieve a remarkably tight turning radius of just 4.62 metres, making it significantly easier to navigate urban streets and confined parking spaces. The platform also supports intelligent driving functions such as e3 Parking, Crab Mode, Pencil Compass Turn and Vehicle Motion Control (VMC), giving the vehicle capabilities rarely seen in conventional luxury cars.
Ride comfort is equally impressive thanks to the DiSus-A Dual Chamber Air Suspension system, which continuously adjusts damping and suspension stiffness based on road conditions to deliver a balance of comfort, stability and dynamic handling.
Blade Battery 2.0 and Ultra-Fast Flash Charging
Powering the Z9GT is BYD’s new Second Generation Blade Battery 2.0 with a massive 122.49kWh capacity and a 1,000V high-voltage architecture. One of its headline features is support for BYD Flash Charging Technology, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes, or from 10% to 97% in only nine minutes.
The new battery also delivers approximately 5% higher energy density than its predecessor while maintaining the renowned safety standards of the Blade Battery family. It continues to demonstrate exceptional thermal stability after undergoing rigorous safety testing, including the nail penetration test that has become synonymous with BYD’s battery technology.
Luxury Cabin Packed With Premium Features
The exterior of the DENZA Z9GT adopts a flowing, silk-inspired silhouette designed to maximise both aerodynamic efficiency and visual elegance. Signature styling elements include Dual Line LED headlights, Hourglass LED taillights and Meteor Welcome Lighting, giving the vehicle a distinctive road presence.
Inside, the cabin focuses on luxury and comfort with premium genuine leather upholstery, real wood trim and electrically operated soft-closing doors. Front occupants benefit from active side bolster seats for enhanced support, while convenience features include dual 50W wireless charging pads in the front and an additional 50W wireless charger integrated into the rear centre armrest.
The premium experience continues with a Devialet 20-speaker sound system, a compressor refrigerator with both cooling and heating functions, a spacious 495-litre rear luggage compartment and a 53-litre front trunk, providing practicality alongside luxury.
Advanced Digital Experience and Google Integration
Powering the in-car experience is an industry-leading 3nm processor that drives the infotainment system, delivering fast response times and smooth operation. The system also features Google Built-in, providing seamless access to navigation, connected services and a familiar digital ecosystem directly from the vehicle’s interface.
Together, the e3 Platform, Blade Battery 2.0 and intelligent cabin technologies position the DENZA Z9GT as a showcase of BYD’s latest innovations in luxury electric mobility.
Malaysia Debut on 15 July
The DENZA Z9GT will officially make its Asia Pacific debut in Malaysia on 15 July 2026. Following the launch, the public will be able to experience and test drive the luxury grand tourer at DENZA Premium showrooms nationwide beginning 16 July.
To complement the launch, BYD Malaysia also plans to progressively roll out its Flash Charging infrastructure across selected DENZA Premium showrooms, further enhancing the ownership experience for future customers.
Interested buyers can already register their interest ahead of the official launch, with more details expected to be announced during the Malaysian debut.
