Apple Business Announced: New All-in-One Platform for Device Management, Productivity and Brand Presence

Apple has officially introduced Apple Business, a new all-in-one platform designed to help businesses of all sizes manage devices, streamline operations and strengthen their brand presence across Apple’s ecosystem.

Set to launch globally starting April 14, 2026, Apple Business will be available in over 200 countries and regions, including Malaysia, and aims to simplify how companies deploy Apple devices, collaborate internally and connect with customers.

Unified Platform for Business Operations

Apple Business brings together several existing enterprise tools into a single platform, combining device management, productivity services and brand management features under one system.

At its core, the platform includes built-in mobile device management (MDM), allowing organisations to configure devices, manage security settings and deploy apps from a single interface. This is particularly useful for small and medium-sized businesses that may not have dedicated IT teams.

With new “Blueprints”, businesses can pre-configure devices with specific settings and applications, enabling zero-touch deployment so employees can start using their devices straight out of the box.

Integrated Email, Calendar and Collaboration Tools

Beyond device management, Apple Business introduces built-in business email, calendar and directory services, allowing companies to operate using their own custom domain.

This enables businesses to create a more professional identity while simplifying communication and collaboration across teams. Features such as calendar delegation and a built-in company directory make it easier for employees to stay organised and connected.

Apple is also offering a companion Apple Business app, which allows employees to install work apps, access company contacts and request support directly from their devices.

Enhanced Security and Account Management

Apple Business introduces Managed Apple Accounts, ensuring a clear separation between personal and work data through cryptographic protections. This helps organisations maintain data security without compromising employee privacy.

The platform also supports integration with identity providers such as Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra ID, allowing automated account creation and easier employee onboarding.

Admins can create user groups, assign roles and distribute apps through the App Store, while API access enables large-scale deployments and system integrations.

Built-In Brand and Customer Engagement Tools

Apple Business also expands on features previously available in Apple Business Connect, giving companies more control over how their brand appears across Apple services.

Businesses can manage brand profiles, update logos and business details, and customise location listings on Apple Maps with photos, operating hours and promotions.

Additional tools such as “Showcases” allow businesses to highlight deals and new products, while custom actions can direct customers to websites or apps for bookings and purchases. Location insights also provide data on how users discover and interact with listings.

Pricing and Availability

Apple Business will be available as a free service starting April 14, 2026, replacing Apple Business Essentials, Apple Business Manager and Apple Business Connect, which will be phased out.

Existing users will have their data automatically migrated to the new platform, and Business Essentials subscribers will no longer be charged for device management after the transition.

Some features, including additional iCloud storage and AppleCare+ for Business, will remain optional paid add-ons. The platform requires devices running iOS 26, iPadOS 26 or macOS 26 for full functionality.
