Razer Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz Series Unveiled With Hall Effect Switches and 8,000Hz HyperPolling

Razer has expanded its esports keyboard portfolio with the launch of the Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz lineup, introducing a new generation of Hall Effect magnetic keyboards designed for competitive gamers. Available in Tenkeyless (TKL) and Mini 65% form factors, the new series combines Razer’s Hall Effect Magnetic Switches, true 8,000Hz HyperPolling, and a suite of advanced input technologies aimed at delivering faster response times, greater precision and enhanced control during competitive gameplay.

While Razer continues to position its analog optical keyboards as its flagship esports offering, the Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz series is designed for players seeking a premium magnetic keyboard that delivers tournament-grade performance.

Precision Hall Effect Magnetic Switches

At the heart of the new lineup are Razer’s Hall Effect Magnetic Switches, which use magnetic sensing to provide highly accurate and consistent keystrokes. Players can customise the actuation point of each key anywhere between 0.1mm and 4.0mm, allowing ultra-sensitive inputs for competitive gaming or deeper actuation for everyday typing.

The switches also support Rapid Trigger Mode, enabling keys to reset dynamically based on movement rather than a fixed reset point. This allows for significantly faster repeated key presses during fast-paced games, while the switches themselves are rated for 100 million keystrokes to ensure long-term durability.

Faster Response With True 8,000Hz HyperPolling

The Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic series features true 8,000Hz HyperPolling, dramatically increasing the frequency at which the keyboard communicates with the PC to reduce input latency.

According to Razer’s internal testing, the keyboard achieves an average latency of 0.60ms when configured with 0.1mm actuation and 8,000Hz polling, delivering an 8% latency advantage over the nearest competing Hall Effect magnetic keyboard tested.

Advanced Input Controls for Competitive Gaming

Beyond raw speed, Razer has introduced several new software-driven input features designed specifically for esports players.

Snap Flex allows users to assign two different actions to a single key—one when the key is pressed and another when it is released—making complex action sequences easier to execute.

Dynamic Keystroke enables up to four separate commands to be triggered depending on how deeply a key is pressed, opening up new possibilities for advanced combos and layered controls.

Meanwhile, Instant Cancel Control lets players immediately cancel follow-up actions if the situation changes mid-game, while Dual-Keypress Priority ensures intended movement inputs take precedence over accidental key presses during intense gameplay. Together, these features provide players with greater control over both key actuation and how every input behaves during competitive matches.

Browser-Based Customisation With Synapse Web

In addition to support for Razer Synapse on Windows, the new keyboards introduce Synapse Web, allowing players to customise essential settings directly from a web browser without installing software.

Users can adjust keyboard settings, save configurations to onboard profiles and carry their preferred setup across multiple PCs, LAN events and tournament environments, making it easier to maintain a consistent gaming experience wherever they play.
