Just three months after introducing the HONOR 9A, HONOR is launching another budget smartphone in the Honor 9S. It costs a wallet-friendly RM359 and launches with freebies such as 15GB Huawei Cloud Storage service, a water tumbler, and an RM10 Tien Tien Yogurt voucher.
The phone ships with a 5.45-inch FullView Display screen that pushes a resolution of 1440x720p. The display is TUV Rheinland-certified too for blue-light protection.
When it comes to imaging, the phone sports a single 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Over on the front is a 5MP camera that also works with HONOR’s Beauty Mode for selfie beautification.
HONOR Malaysia hasn’t confirmed the chipset that comes with the phone, but we can see on HONOR Global’s listing that the phone packs a MediaTek Helio P22 chip. You get 2GB RAM and up to 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card.
Powering the device is a 3,020mAh battery which HONOR claims cam last up to 17 hours of video playback time. The HONOR 9S ships with the Magic UI 3.1, based on Android 10.
There are three colour options to choose from – Black, Blue, and Red; you can purchase the phone on September 28 onward via HONOR’s Lazada and Shopee pages here, as well as via HONOR’s online shop.
