The Ryzen 9 3950X tops the charts for your gaming-class CPUs – it follows up from the 3900X with 16 cores and 32 threads. It runs at a base clock speed of 3.5GHz, which can be boosted up to 4.7GHz. The CPU works on an AM4 X570 motherboard.

Meanwhile, if you’re looking for something to handle your heavy rendering, AMD also introduced two additions to the Ryzen Threadripper series. The 3960X and 3970X – the former has 24 cores and 48 threads, while the latter has a whopping 32 cores and 64 threads. Both have a max turbo clock speed of 4.5GHz; but interestingly, the pricer 3970X has a lower base clock speed of 3.7GHz. These work with sTRX4 sockets on TRX40 boards.

AMD has also announced that there will be a Threadripper 3990X (3980X doesn’t exist apparently) soon with 64 cores and 128 threads – that will be the pinnacle of AMD’s processing offerings when it arrives.

The Ryzen 9 3950X is priced at RM3,149; the Threadripper 3960X at RM5,899 and the Threadripper 3970X at RM8,399.
