Instagram Stories have increasingly become more popular lately, but the feature isn’t original by any means, having copied Snapchat in many ways possible. Speaking of which, Snapchat has just introduced a slew of new features to its app to distinguish it from the competition, and Instagram has rolled out a very handy feature which changes the way of responding to Stories.
Instagram’s latest app update now comes with a feature whereby users aren’t limited to only text replies to Instagram Stories. Just like Snapchat, unsurprisingly, Instagram now enables users to respond to their friends’ Stories on the app with photos and videos. Of course, users will be able to reply with a Boomerang as well.
With the new update, when viewing a person’s Stories, users can find a camera icon on the screen. Tapping on that will bring up the option to reply with either a photo, video or a Boomerang. This feature totally changes how people respond to Stories on the Instagram app.
