Super Mario Run is definitely one of the most highly anticipated games of 2016, considering the fact that the Super Mario title has a huge fan base spanning over the last few decades. The platform video game which was released by Japanese company Nintendo more than 30 years ago has finally seen its way to mobile devices this year as Super Mario Run. First unveiled three months ago and made available for iOS devices a couple of weeks back, Super Mario Run is now available on the Google Play Store.

There’s a catch however, Android users won’t be able to download the game right away as Super Mario Run is now only available for pre-registration on the Play Store. Pre-registering for the game does not require any payment, instead pre-registered users will be notified once the title is available to be purchased. For now, users will only get to enjoy the series of screenshots and a video trailer of Super Mario Run on the Play Store.

Super Mario Run had a rather unfortunate run on iOS platform, having received numerous bad reviews, resulting in a current rating of 2.5 out of 5 stars on the App Store. The Android version will work the same just like the iOS counterpart. Super Mario Run doesn’t come cheap either, carrying a RM39.90 price tag on the App Store, and we will be expecting it to sport the same price on the Play Store.
