Shortly after its global debut, Xiaomi Malaysia has introduced the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro to the Malaysian market, these flagship phones feature a significant upgrade over their predecessors, while they are also the most expensive phones Xiaomi has ever sold in history.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro has the same base storage configuration of 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the Xiaomi 13 Pro is being offered with a higher 512GB storage variant. Display wise, the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro comes with 6.36-inch and 6.73-inch OLED displays respectively that refreshes at 120Hz, they both support Dolby Vision HDR and pushes 1900 nits of peak brightness.
For the first time ever, Xiaomi has added IP68 water and dust resistance across its flagship series, which is a long overdue feature and the same can be said about the addition of 50W fast wireless charging, where previously the vanilla version of the series don’t get.
As you might be already aware, the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro are the first Leica co-engineered phones to be ever released globally, both phones’ triple camera system are Leica certified with the same setup and almost similar focal lengths, the Xiaomi 13 Pro gets the most spotlight with a 50.3MP Sony IMX989 1-inch sensor as the main shooter and is assisted by a 50MP telephoto and 50MP ultrawide lens, while the Xiaomi 13 employs a 50MP Sony IMX800 1/1.49″ sensor as its main shooter and is complemented by a lower resolution 10MP telephoto and 12MP ultrawide camera.
Battery wise, the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro are fitted with 4500mAh and 4820mAh batteries respectively, while wired charging speed remains the same at 67W for the Xiaomi 13 and 120W for the Xiaomi 13 Pro.
Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro and Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro also makes local debut
In conjunction with the launch, Xiaomi has taken the opportunity to introduce the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro, which also sees a significant upgrade over the previous model with improved active noise cancellation and dimensional audio, it delivers Hi-Res audio over an 11mm super balanced driver and supports Sony’s LDAC audio codec, while offering up to 38 hours of listening time with the charging case.
In addition, Xiaomi also introduced the Watch S1 Pro, a premium smartwatch with a classic design that features a beautiful 1.47-inch AMOLED display and rotating crown, it runs on the new MIUI Watch operating system that offers advanced health tracking features, while it comes with dual-band GPS and up to 14 days of battery life of a single charge.
Expanding AIoT product portfolio in Malaysia
Xiaomi Malaysia is expanding its AIoT product portfolio in Malaysia with five new robot vacuums, namely the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10+ and X10, Xiaomi Robot S10 and S10+, and Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E10, all of these robot vacuums are readily available for purchase at Xiaomi Stores nationwide starting today.
Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro Preorder Details in Malaysia
The Xiaomi 13 series can be preordered starting today till 7th March 2023, the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro retails at RM3,499 and RM4,599 respectively for the 12GB+256GB storage variant.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro 512GB storage variant is being sold as an exclusive package in Malaysia for RM5,999, which customers will receive a Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro worth RM1,399, a Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro worth RM899 and Xiaomi 33W Powerbank 10000mAh Pocket Edition worth RM199.
Customers who preordered the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will receive a free 43-inch and 58-inch Xiaomi Smart TV A2 respectively.
