After countless leaks of Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship series, the company has finally come out to confirm its launch date via Weibo and it’ll be happening next week on 28 December.
The new series will likely consist of a vanilla 12, 12X, and 12 Pro with speculations of a 12 Ultra. Previous reports have mentioned that Leica will be engineering the camera on the 12 Ultra but we’ll just have to wait till next week to find out. Other than that, we know that this series is confirmed to feature Qualcomm’s newest flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Based on previous leaks, the Xiaomi 12 is equipped with a 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that pushes 144Hz refresh rate along with support for up to 100W fast charging. As for imaging, it’ll consist of a 50MP main camera, an ultrawide lens, and a periscopic telephoto lens.
