BMW has introduced a new model to its X-series Compact Premium segment, the BMW X2. It features a sporty, dynamic and urban design which will leave a confident impression for its class. The BMW X2 is introduced in in the BMW X2 sDrive20i M Sports variant that will stand out from the crowd no matter where you are.

The kidney grille has been an icon for BMW cars and on the X2, it comes with a wider outline on the base rather than the top, making it the first BMW to come with this design language. Below it, the hexagonal surface treatment in the bumper reinforces the design and provides a visual expression of the brand’s classy appeal. In the car, there are LED ambient lighting with colour choices like Orange, Lilac, Mint, Bronze, Blue and White colour to cater to your mood while driving.

Powering the car is a BMW’s award-winning two-litre TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder petrol engine with combines twin-scroll turbocharger with Valvetronic, double VANOS and High Precision Injection. All of this features allows for a top speed of 227KM/H and an overall output of 192hp and 280Nm of torque. The X2 will get you from 0 to 100KM/h in just 7.7 seconds and it comes with a 7-speed Steptronic Sport double-clutch transmission. The car’s response can be changed by simple activating the Driving Experience Control switch which will put the car into COMFORT mode, efficiency-enhancing ECO PRO mode and SPORT mode.

On top of the Comfort Access System, there is a contactless opening of the tailgate, and the luggage compartment has a capacity of 470 litres and up to 1,355 litres with the 40/20/40 split folding down rear backrests. The X2 also comes with ConnectedDrive which is designed to assist, inform and entertain the drivers at the right time with the right service.

These features include Emergency Call, Teleservices, Concierge Services, BMW Online and BMW Remote Services. The BMW Head-UP display displays driver-relevant information to offer the best customer experience in this segment. The car also offers Navigation Plus with an 8.8-inch touch display which also has split-view.

There is also a wide selection of Driver Assistance Systems, aside from the cruise control with brake function, the Park Assistant helps when it comes to parallel parking manoeuvres.

The BMW X2 will come with new colours of Galvanic Gold Metallic, Misano Blue Metallic and Sunset Orange Metallic with Black Interior Colour with Gray seams. The X2 will be available from all authorized BMW dealerships from 21 March 2018 and will cost RM320,800 without insurance. The price includes 5-years unlimited mileage warranty, free scheduled service programme and BMW Tyre Warranty Programme.
