SteelSeries has just announced their first Hi-Res headphones with the Arctis Pro and GameDAC, which the company stated will take gaming audio to a whole new level thanks to a breakthrough technology that will offer an immersive gaming audio experience.

The headset uses the ESS Sabre 9018 DAC chip to produce cd-like audio quality without downsampling. The headset also comes with two 40mm drivers with a frequency range up to 40,000Hz, 121 decibels of dynamic range and 95 decibels of total harmonic distortion and noise. The headset comes with a digital-to-analog converter which consists of an OLED screen so you can see the balance of game and char audio, track volume levels, and tweak the 10-band equalizer bars. Other than that, it also has a dedicated Hi-Res Audio mode and onboard controls for PS4 streaming.

The Arctis Pro and GameDAC comes with a price tag of $250 (RM974.13) and the Arctis Pro alone will cost $180 (RM701.37) but it is not a Hi-Res certified headphones as it does not come with the GameDAC.
