It’s a bummer that if you wanted to share a song with your Instagram followers, you would need to take a screenshot or link and paste it into your Stories or news feed. That is all going to change because Spotify is taking out a new feature that will allow you to share the song you are listing to directly to your Stories.
To do this is pretty simple, simply go to the song you want to share, open up the options menu and tap on Share. There will be an option for you to share to Instagram Stories and you can even use Instagram’s editing tools to put text or some graphics before sharing it. Best of all, there is no need to connect your Spotify and Instagram account together to use this feature. Once the song is shared, your followers will be able to tap the Play on Spotify button to listen to the song.
The feature is currently being rolled out to all users on iOS and Android, users should be able to see this new feature in coming weeks when they push the update out.
