We have seen the gorgeous Sony BRAVIA XBR-A1E back in CES this year, and if you have been eyeing to buy that for your living room, Sony Malaysia has finally brought it to the Malaysian shore and introduced many other HDR TV offerings today. The BRAVIA A1 Series features the 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme, which delivers stunning HDR picture quality with Sony’s picture processing technology and processes over 8 million self-illuminating pixels. Apart from the emphasis on picture quality, the TV has its speakers built directly into panel itself, one’s eyes can be easily fooled that it doesn’t have a speaker, but in fact this is a new Acoustic Surface Technology that produces sound from the panel, which gives a unification of picture and sound that isn’t found on conventional TVs.
In addition to the A1 series, the BRAVIA X93E series was also introduced and features the Slim Backlight Drive+, an improved LED backlight technology that allows more precise and accurate local dimming control, the TV also deliver 10 times better dynamic range all thanks to its new quad-edge LED structure and X-tended Dynamic Range PRO technology. The X93E also features the 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme and supports Dolby Vision, the HDR format from Dolby Laboratories. Both the BRAVIA A1 Series and X93E series are powered by the Android TV operating system, a TV optimized version of Android that lets you run a variety of apps downloaded from Google Play.
Last but not the least, Sony has also introduced a new range of 4K HDR and Full HD HDR TVs as well, which will all be availble in Sony Stores nationwide starting May 2017 onwards, the new BRAVIA OLED and HDR TVs are priced as below:
