After a long silence from their mobile phone line, Sharp is finally back and they have introduced the Sharp Aquos S2, a 5.5-inch FreeForm Display full-screen smartphone here in Malaysia.
The Aquos S2 will come equipped with a Snapdragon 630, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage expandable to 128GB via microSD card. For the 5.5-inch screen, Sharp has opted to go with an FHD+ screen with a resolution of 2040 x 1080 which houses an 8MP selfie camera. On the back, there is a dual-camera setup with 12MP + 8MP configuration and has Trinal Camera which is a Sharp innovation that offers dual 1.4 nanometer MP, Full Pixel PDAP Dual Focus and a Dual-Lens Professional Depth-of-field Effect. There are a number of unique photo taking functions that offers users better selfies, low light performance and anti-shake photo capture.
Other than that, the Aquos S2 comes with Smile UX which incorporates three core functions, Universal Vision which offers an enhanced full-screen experience made for gamers, RoboS which is an AI assistant, and S-BOOST which will speed up smartphone processing, increase battery life and power saving capabilities.
From 28 December 2017 to 3rd January 2018, customers can pre-order the phone from Lazada, 11street, Shopee, DirectD and Satu Gadget Dot Com. Those of you that pre-order the phone will get an SLS-100 Stereo Wireless Bluetooth Headset and the first 50 pre-orders will get an additional 32GB SanDisk Ultra microSDHC UHS-I memory card. The Sharp Aquos S2 will come in three colours, Dazzling Black, Glazed White and Abyss Blue and. The phone will retail for a very affordable price of RM1,299.
