Razer’s Blade Pro laptop has been kept mostly out of the spotlight as the standard Razer Blade, as well as the Razer Blade Stealth, were the more popular options. This changed today, as Razer has announced the new Razer Blade Pro, and the laptop now comes with some major changes.

Specifications-wise, the Razer Blade Pro is pretty much what you would have expected out of a high-end gaming laptop. It packs an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, 32GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080. The Blade Pro also comes with a 17.3″ 4K display with Nvidia’s G-Sync technology, making it ideal for Ultra-HD content playback. For ports, the laptop comes with a Thunderbolt 3 connector, three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port, headphone jack, Ethernet jack and a SDXC card reader.

Perhaps the biggest change that the Razer Blade Pro has is in its removal of the iconic Switchblade interface. Razer has opted to remove the Switchblade interface, replacing it with a standard trackpad and media keys instead. Many, myself included, may be disappointed with the omission. Fortunately though, the keyboard has been improved upon, with the laptop now using Razer’s new ultra-low-profile mechanical switches. Both the trackpad and the keyboard comes with Chroma technology for added fanciness.

Interested? Well, be prepared to spend top dollar as the Razer Blade Pro has a starting price of USD3,699 (RM15,519). The Razer Blade Pro is expected to be available in November.
