Qualcomm Technologies has officially unveiled the next evolution of its AI PC platform with the introduction of the Snapdragon X2 Series, expanding its Snapdragon X lineup and pushing further into AI-powered Windows computing. As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into everyday workflows, Qualcomm says its latest AI PCs are designed to deliver stronger performance, longer battery life and smarter on-device AI capabilities in thinner and lighter form factors.
Built around Qualcommโs efficiency-first architecture, Snapdragon-powered AI PCs continue to focus on areas that matter most to modern users, including battery endurance, thermal efficiency, responsiveness and portability. The company believes user expectations are shifting beyond traditional specifications, with more emphasis now placed on how devices perform in everyday usage scenarios.
The latest Snapdragon X Series and Snapdragon X2 Series platforms aim to improve overall computing experiences by offering all-day battery life, smoother multitasking performance and quieter operation through improved thermal management. Qualcomm is also continuing to strengthen AI processing capabilities through dedicated Neural Processing Units (NPUs), enabling more advanced AI experiences directly on devices without relying heavily on cloud processing.

According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon X2 Series introduces further enhancements across productivity, entertainment and gaming workloads. This includes broader optimisation for modern applications as well as improved compatibility with PC gaming experiences, marking another step in Qualcommโs efforts to position ARM-based Windows laptops as alternatives to traditional x86 machines.
Alicia Lim, Head of Sales and Marketing for Southeast Asia at Qualcomm Technologies, said the AI PC category has evolved rapidly over the past year, with consumers now paying closer attention to real-world experiences rather than hardware specifications alone.
She explained that users increasingly evaluate devices based on battery performance, portability, responsiveness and AI capabilities, alongside how seamlessly the laptop integrates into daily work and lifestyle routines. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon X2 Series is designed to further improve those experiences by combining efficient performance, advanced AI processing and mobility into one platform.
The launch also reflects changing usage patterns among students and professionals, many of whom now rely heavily on collaboration tools, AI applications, streaming platforms and creative workloads while working across multiple locations. Snapdragon AI PCs are designed to support these increasingly mobile lifestyles through lightweight designs, long battery life and integrated AI features.
Several new laptops powered by the Snapdragon X2 Series are expected to arrive in Malaysia, including the ASUS Zenbook A16, Lenovo IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 and Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x. Qualcomm says Snapdragon AI PCs are already available across multiple price ranges and form factors from major manufacturers such as Acer, ASUS, HP, Lenovo and Microsoft.
Malaysian consumers interested in Snapdragon-powered AI PCs can find them through retailers including Harvey Norman, Thunder Match Technology (TMT) and PC Image. Additional information and promotions are available via Qualcommโs Snapdragon Super Deals Malaysia campaign website.
