If you’ve been eagerly waiting for Pokémon Go to go live, you don’t have to wait much longer as Nintendo announced at E3 that the game will be available for download on both iOS and Android sometime in July.

For those who don’t know what Pokémon Go is, Pokémon Go is a Pokémon game that uses AR technology and smartphones to allow the player to search out and catch Pokémon that are located at various real world locations. As the player catches more Pokémons, they would level up, which would allow them to catch more powerful Pokémon. Catching multiple Pokémons will also reward players with ‘candy’ that they can use to make their Pokémon evolve.

Alongside the game launch, Nintendo will also be selling the Pokémon Go Plus, a hardware device that players can wear on their wrist of attach to their clothing, allowing them to play Pokémon Go without needing to take out their phone. While we don’t know how exactly the device will work, we do know that the Pokémon Go Plus device will retail for USD 34.99. Just so we’re clear, the Pokémon Go device is an optional add-on and the Pokémon Go app itself is free, so you don’t have to pay to enjoy this AR experience.
