OPPO launched their flagship smartphone, the OPPO Find X in 2018. But they weren’t finish with the flagship smartphone because just last month, they’ve decided to reveal a 5G prototype of the Find X.

The OPPO Find X is an all-screen smartphone with an elevating slider that holds the front and rear cameras. It was one of OPPO’s greatest achievement in 2018, and now it continues to be a product of pride with the 5G prototype that is equipped with Snapdragon 855 and X50 5G modem.

During the event, the prototype was used to demonstrate 5G data connectivity and performance in applications such as video streaming and video chatting. The company is certain to be the first few to launch commercial 5G smartphones as they were one of the first to complete 5G 3D video call, 5G signaling and data connections on a smartphone, 5G Internet access test, and recently, 5G multiparty video call.

Besides that, OPPO also introduced the concept of “5G+” that aims to connect everything and bring an unbelievable user experience by using the smartphone as a core to smart devices, with all of them being connected to a 5G network.  The company stated that they’ve already begun to work on smart devices in areas of “smart health” and “smart home”, and they’ll continue to improve on 5G technology with AI, Big Data and Cloud Computing. They aim to create true “intelligent personal assistants” so users can bring their smart experiences to a whole new level.

Apart from that, OPPO also plans to continue collaborating with Qualcomm to build a 5G ecosystem, and in China, OPPO will partner with China Mobile to ensure that the commercial 5G smartphones can come out as soon as possible.
