The OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G made its debut in Malaysia today with a Snapdragon 870 chip and a new video feature called the Bokeh Flare Portrait Video.
OPPO improves the Reno6 Pro’s performance with larger RAM and stronger chip
The Reno6 Pro is slightly larger than its siblings at 6.5 inches; it also comes with an AMOLED panel that pushes FHD+ resolution and supports up to 90Hz refresh rate. Apart from the flagship Snapdragon chip, the phone also has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
OPPO also bumped up the battery by a narrow margin — the Reno6 Pro now comes with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W SuperVOOC 2.0.
New camera setup + video feature for the Reno6 Pro
The Reno6 Pro now houses a 50MP lens that uses the Sony IMX766 sensor. This is accompanied by a 16MP ultrawide lens, a 13MP telephoto lens and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, we get a 32MP selfie camera.
Reno fans will still enjoy features like AI Highlight Video, Dual View Video and Focus Tracking, but this time, OPPO added Bokeh Flare Portrait Video. This bokeh flare effect was previously only available on photos, but it is now extended to videos as well.Â
The Reno6 Pro 5G comes with a design called the OPPO Reno Glow and is available in Arctic Blue and Lunar Grey. The Arctic Blue variant has a crystallised texture yet is smooth to touch — watch our unboxing video below to get a first look at the phone.

Priced at RM2,999, the OPPO Reno6 Pro can be pre-ordered starting today until August 23. Those who pre-orders the phone will also get up to RM1,099 worth of gifts including the new Enco Air wireless earbuds, a Marshall backpack and more.
