OPPO has expanded its K-series smartphone lineup with the introduction of the OPPO K3. As you can guess by its name, the OPPO K3 is a successor to the OPPO K1 that was launched last year.

The OPPO K3 has a large 6.5-inch AMOLED panel featuring Full HD+ resolution, DC dimming, and an optical under-display fingerprint scanner. There is no notch or cutout in the display, thanks to a 16MP elevating popup camera. On the back of the phone is a 16MP + 2MP dual-camera setup. In addition to an AI portrait mode and AI scene detection, the phone has an Ultra Clear Night View 2.0 mode for impressive low-light photography.

Under the hood, the OPPO K3 is equipped with a 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset, clubbed with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. Fueling the internals of the mid-range Android smartphone is a 3765mAh capacity battery with OPPO’s VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology. The phone runs on ColorOS 6.0, which happens to be based on Android 9.0 Pie.

OPPO K3 comes in two memory configurations. The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of the smartphone is priced at CNY1,599 (RM970) in China, while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant has been priced at CNY1,899 (RM1,152). Color options include Nebula Purple and Secret Black. We can expect the OPPO K3 to make its way to at least a few markets outside China in the coming weeks.
