Nothing has introduced the Headphone (1) Pro, a new flagship over-ear model designed to bridge everyday wireless listening and more technical studio work. It follows the original Nothing Headphone (1) and arrives alongside a global campaign featuring V of BTS, although Malaysian buyers will have to wait a little longer for local pricing and an on-sale date.
Triple drivers split the workload
The biggest hardware change is a triple-driver architecture rather than the single-driver setup used by many wireless headphones. Nothing says separate drivers handle the bass, midrange and treble: a bass-focused dynamic driver provides low-end impact, a precision dynamic driver covers vocals and instruments, while an xMEMS driver handles high frequencies.
The Headphone (1) Pro was tuned with Metropolis Studios and includes a physical Flat EQ switch for a neutral sound profile. A Studio B spatial-audio mode is intended to recreate the acoustic character of a mixing room, while five custom EQ profiles are designed around different styles of British music.
Adaptive ANC and high-resolution playback
Nothing rates its latest adaptive active noise cancellation at up to 46dB. A 10-microphone system continuously adjusts to surrounding noise, including wind and traffic, while a redesigned ear cushion uses an 8mm silicone baffle wall to improve the seal.
The headphones support high-resolution wireless playback as well as lossless audio over USB-C at up to 24-bit/192kHz. Five Dynamic Spatial Audio modes are available with head tracking, giving listeners different immersive profiles depending on the content.
More detailed sound adjustments are handled through the Nothing X app. Advanced EQ lets users move tuning points across the frequency range and control the main and precision drivers separately, while Simple EQ offers quicker bass and vocal adjustments. Personal Sound and saved custom profiles are also supported.
Lighter metal build and 68-hour battery
The familiar transparent styling remains, with parts of the internal driver system visible through 9H Panda glass on each ear cup. Nothing combines aluminium and titanium to reduce weight, replacing the steel arms used previously while widening and padding the headband. The Headphone (1) Pro weighs 327g and will be offered in Black and White.
Battery life is rated at up to 68 hours with ANC switched off, and fast charging is supported. The headphones also carry an IP52 rating for limited dust and splash protection.
Nothing says the Headphone (1) Pro will be available in Malaysia at a later date. Local pricing, retail channels and the exact release date have not yet been announced.
