While we don’t actively cover crypto related topics here, but for those who’s looking to fully unlock their LHR NVIDIA GPUs Ethereum mining hashrate using a recent tool called “NVIDIA RTX LHR v2 Unlocker”, you better avoid using it or stop using it at all costs as the tool contains multiple viruses.

NVIDIA’s RTX 30 series graphics card are currently sold in Limited Hash Rate (LHR) versions to nerf mining hashrates on Ethash based cryptocurrencies as a means to deter crypto miners from snapping up their cards, although mining software such as NBMiner has already managed to unlocked 70% of the card’s mining performance without any modifications to system drivers and files.

Tom’s Hardware has reported that the NVIDIA RTX LHR v2 Unlocker not only didn’t performed as claimed, but infects your system and causes other unusual behavior such as high CPU usage and injecting unwanted files, which you can refer to Joe’s Sandbox Cloud to view the illustration of how the tool infects your computer.

While no thanks to chip shortage as well, prices of GPU has skyrocketed at least two times of its actual retail price, hence most miners would eagerly want to recover their investment with such kind of tools, but sometimes, things can be too good to be true.
