It appears that TAG Heuer isn’t that has introduced a premium smartwatch into the market this week as Germany’s own Montblanc has announced its own luxury smartwatch called the Montblanc Summit.

Where TAG Heuer’s Connected Modular 45 is a smartwatch with a modular concept, the Montblanc Summit is a bit more traditional. The Summit sports a 1.39″ AMOLED display and is powered by the Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a heart-rate sensor and a built-in microphone. The Summit runs on the Android Wear 2.0 platform and has an IP68 water resistance rating.

Style is where the Montblanc Summit truly shines as the smartwatch employs the same design language that was use on the company’s 1858 analogue collection. With the Montblanc Summit, the smartwatch comes with four different cases that are made from either stainless steel or titanium. As for watchbands, the Summit can sport either rubber, calfskin or sfumato straps.

Prices for the Montblanc Summit is lower than the Connected Modular 45, but that doesn’t mean its affordable either. The smartwatch has a starting price of USD890 (RM3,949), while the most expensive variant of the watch will cost  you USD1,070 (RM4,748).
