By now, most of you would be familiar with Microsoft’s Surface tablet. Well, it seems that the tablet won’t be the only product in the Surface line as rumours are going around that Microsoft is currently at work at an All-in-One Surface that is meant to be used in your living room.

First reported by Digitimes, this Surface AiO is allegedly an alaternative to Microsoft’s second generation Surface Book which has been delayed to the first half of 2017 instead of its original second half 2016 launch date due to delays in shipment of Intel’s Kaby Lake processors.

While little is known about this Surface AiO, Windows Central did report that this machine is made to be used in the living room. Some of the words used to describe the device includes “modern and elegant,” implying that the device would be something akin to a premium appliance or furniture. Should that be the case, it is entirely possible that the upcoming Surface AiO may even be a consumer version of the PixelSense. For those who don’t know, PixelSense was the original Surface concept, that of a computer built into a table.

Currently, the Surface AiO is targeting for a third quarter 2016 release date. Only time will tell if this Surface can help Microsoft grab a slice of the AiO market that is currently being dominated by both Lenovo and Apple.
