Launch of the new iPhone pushed to November

Leak from KGI analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, has confirmed based on previous rumours, that the new flagship phone from Apple will be pushed back several months, which means we should expect to see the unveil of the new phone in November instead of an August/September timeframe. This would give more time to Samsung to push their recently released Galaxy S8, slightly hurting the market for Apple.

Not all is lost because the delay is caused by a significant hardware upgrade which includes a change to OLED display, major design changes, potential removal of the Home button, and upgraded cameras which to some, might be worth the wait. Kuo goes on to add that we will also see upgraded versions of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which will arrive the same time as the new flagship but will be a sideshow to the event.

With the recent release of the Galaxy S8 and a follow-up release of the Galaxy Note 8 in August, not to mention Google Pixel 2 launch in October, Apple has very little room for error and needs to step up its game or be left behind by the competition.
