The pandemic has led to an inclination towards virtual meetings and to solve one of the many issues when it comes to virtual communication, Jabra launched the PanaCast 50 and the PanaCast 20.
Jabra launched two new devices today — the PanaCast 50 and the PanaCast 20. The former is an intelligent video bar while the latter is a personal camera, and these cameras are made to enhance virtual conference calls.
As the pandemic continues to push us towards virtual communication, organisations and businesses have also reduced physical meetings and events. Here are where gadgets like the PanaCast 50 and 20 shine.
Jabra PanaCast 50 – intelligent video bar for group meetings
The PanaCast 50 is a slim, plug-and-play camera that offers 180º field of view. It has a 13MP lens, eight beam forming microphones and four powerful speakers to offer good audio and visual experience. It also supports dual-video steams, meaning the video bar can focus on two things at once — for example, the participants of the meeting and a whiteboard.
In addition to that, the PanaCast 50 also has safety features such as PeopleCount. This feature allows the camera to count the number of people in a room without recognising them, so there won’t be any invasion of privacy. This is mainly to ensure that employees are following social distancing guidelines.
The PanaCast 50 can be mounted on the wall, used with a table stand, or a screen mount.
Jabra PanaCast 20 – 4K webcam replacement?
The PanaCast 20 is made for the stay-at-home employees. Its 4K UHD camera is AI-enabled, so when you’re in a dark room or crowded environment, the camera knows to enhance your video for the best results.
Powered by a powerful Edge AI chip, the camera also has secure data management and quick video processing abilities. For those who have concerns, Jabra also included an embedded lens cover for when the camera is not in use.
Thought its specifications aren’t revealed yet, the PanaCast 20 is supposedly very lightweight and portable; like the PanaCast 50, this is also a plug-and-play device.
Pricing and availability
The PanaCast 50 and PanaCast 20 is available from today onwards and can be purchased at RM6,500 and RM1,600 respectively.
