Fashion designer brands have gradually conformed to the tech world. Brands such as Tag Heuer, Michael Kors and Fossil have launched their respective smart time pieces, with household names such as Movado teasing its own as well. Popular brand Guess debuts its Android Wear lineup of smartwatches today – known as the Guess Connect.

The Guess Connect isn’t the company’s first attempt on wearable technology. In fact, back in 2015, Guess launched a series of hybrid watches with the same Guess Connect name. The old Guess Connect does not run on Android Wear, but rather, it has a tiny strip of display at the bottom of the watch face while the rest of the design carries the same analog outlook.

Guess decided to establish a relationship with Google and Qualcomm as the trend of smart wearables are on the rise. Like most newly launched smartwatches, the new Guess Connect will run on Android Wear 2.0. This means that the Guess Connect will sport Android Wear 2.0 features such as a keyboard for messaging, standalone apps and forth. Internally, the wearable is powered by the Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. There are different watches catered for both sexes – a 41mm casing for the ladies and a 45mm casing model for men. There will also be over a hundred combinations for watch face, color, and sub dials, plus interchangeable straps for customization purposes.

Unfortunately, the announced availability date for the Guess Connect is rather vague, not to mention a long time to go. According to the company, the Guess Connect will be available in Fall/Winter 2017.
