Google Duo now lets you make voice calls

Google Duo has been a really cool video calling app announced last year, while I do find using the app an issue when it comes to privacy as the Knock Knock feature can be kind of creepy, and thankfully Google is finally rolling out voice call functionality to the app, which will allow people make voice calls to me if they ever want to use Google Duo, it may be nothing new of sorts compared to many other apps out there, but its a good thing that Google is at least making some necessary changes to its internet calling app. *cough* Facebook *cough*.

Duo works differently like Hangouts by having the users sign up using their phone numbers, unlike other chat apps Duo has a simple user interface and works extremely fast when it comes to connecting to a caller, the app was launched together with Allo, the company’s instant messaging app that comes built-in with Google Assistant, as part of the company’s messaging strategy on smartphones. The voice calling feature is currently being rolled out worldwide, and it should reach your phone pretty soon so do remember to hit up the Play Store and App Store to check if there are any updates to the app.
