Sony has just announced that the new God of War game for the PS4 will be releasing on 20 April 2018 and digital pre-order starts from 24 January 2018. There will be a Standard Edition and Collector Edition for both physical and digital purchases.
The new entry to the series will see Kratos and his son, Atreus venturing into the Norse wilds to fulfil a deeply personal quest. The duo must adapt to the new lands, unexpected threats and this would be the change for Kratos to be a father once again. The new story takes place many years after Kratos as exact his vengeance on the gods of Olympus. The new game will take Kratos and his son through Norse cities, forest, mountains and caves of the pre-Viking lore and you will expect to see new creatures and monsters in a fully open world full of discovery and exploration. Moving away from its platforming essence, the new God of War will offer an over the shoulder free camera combat placing the action right in your face as you hack away at monsters with new weapons while preserving the overall essence of the series.
The Standard Edition will cost RM229 and RM209 for the physical and digital copy respectively. The Collector’s Edition will cost RM549 but it comes with goodies and in-game items like:
