The Fitbit Versa 2 smartwatch is the latest addition to the Versa family and features several major improvements. It now comes with the heavily-requested Spotify app so you can control your music and podcast straight from your wrist. Apart from that, it has an AMOLED display with thinner bezels paired with the on-device microphone on its right. Unfortunately, Alexa is not supported in Malaysia so you can’t enjoy the Alexa assistant with your Fitbit Versa 2 here — this also applies to Fitbit Pay.
In addition, the Fitbit Versa 2 features Always-On mode so you always have access to the time and date — like a regular watch. Along with the Fitbit app, the new smartwatch can track your daily steps, sleep stages, calories burned and heart rate with its 24/7 heart rate tracking features.Â
Fitbit also updated its app with a new feature called Sleep Score, where the app analyses your sleep stages and show you a nightly score so you’re motivated to get a higher score, resulting in better sleep. Fitbit will also integrate a Smart Wake feature in the near future, where Fitbit smartwatches take advantage of machine learning to find the optimal time to wake their users — during light or REM sleep.
The Fitbit Versa 2 is water resistant up to 50 meters and comes with a 6+ days battery life. It has an anodised aluminium finish and as usual, many different bands such as the classic bands, woven bands and leather and suede bands.Â
The Versa 2 is priced at RM998 while the Versa 2 Special Edition is priced at RM1,068. It features premium jacquard woven band in navy and pink and comes with a copper rose aluminium case or a mist grey case. Both smartwatches are available in Malaysia and can be purchased at several retail outlets such as All IT Hypermarket, Best Denki, City Chain, Flash Gadget, Harvey Norman, Lazada, Thunder Match & Timekeeper.
