Mozilla have recently introduced their very own file sharing service called Firefox Send. It’s free and can be accessed on any browser which lets you send encrypted files of up to 2.5GB in size to anyone.

You can also set an expiry date to download of up to 7 days or up to 100 downloads. Plus, you can also protect the file with a password.  Upon uploading, you’ll be provided a sharable link to that file. With Firefox Send, you can send a 1GB file without creating an account.

The UI is clean and minimalistic which is great for productivity. However, competitors WeTransfer is also another free file sharing platform which has become a commonly used. Firefox Send lets you upload 500MB more, but WeTransfer lets you enter recipient e-mails along with a custom message.

Regardless of which service you use, we always welcome options; and we can always look to Mozilla to improve on the service. It could perhaps overtake WeTransfer one day too.
