Digi is slightly slower than U Mobile, Celcom and Maxis, but the telco has finally offered a new high-speed internet plan called the Digi Prepaid NEXT.
Digi Prepaid NEXT
Digi Prepaid NEXT offers three different 30-day plans. For RM15, users can get 3GB of high-speed internet and unlimited internet for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. For RM28, there are two options to pick from; users can either opt for 6GB high-speed internet paired with unlimited internet for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, or get 4GB internet paired with unlimited calls to all networks.
Digi vs other telco plans
All three plans are valid for 30 days; customers get free 1GB basic internet every month and up to 2GB high-speed internet if they renew on time every month. This is slightly different from the unlimited internet plans that have been offered by the other telcos.
Digi Prepaid NEXT’s unlimited internet quota is specifically set for social media usage while other prepaid plans offer unlimited data and calls. However, it’s also more affordable compared to the other telco plans. For example, Celcom’s Truly Unlimited Prepaid starts at RM12/week, but if you count its cost for a month, it’ll cost RM48/month. However, those who often use their hotspot will find U Mobile a better choice – it offers 6GB of hotspot quota for the GX30 and GX38 plan.
