Black Pearl Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge goes official as the seventh color

After countless rumors over the recent weeks, Samsung has finally broken news on its newly colored Galaxy S7 Edge, a new Black Pearl paint job to be exact. The glossy black color option is probably, if not obvious enough, an answer to Apple’s new Jet Black iPhone 7 handsets. The Black Pearl color isn’t the same as the existing Black Onyx model of the Galaxy S7 Edge, only a tad darker.

The Black Pearl Galaxy S7 Edge comes after recent launches of new color variants by the South Korean manufacturer. Samsung has unveiled the Blue Coral and Pink Gold variants of the Galaxy S7 Edge, which is said to feature more calm and natural hues. The company also launched a Pink model exclusively for its South Korean consumers. The Black Pearl variant on the other hand was designed to be “modern and striking”. It does sound like it’s a little too late to add a new color option to the 2016 flagship, but some might still take interest in this sleek new color.

One thing to note is the Black Pearl Galaxy S7 Edge will only be exclusive to 128GB storage variants of the handset. The new color model is set to debut in selected markets worldwide later today. Would you be willing to hop onto the glossy black phone bandwagon?
