Apple product owners should be familiar with Apple’s AppleCare+ protection coverage, it offers an additional two years of warranty on top of the usual one year protection with incidental damage including water spills and drops of your products. Since the upcoming Apple Watch is set to have a price tag as high as $10,000, users will definitely want to buy some accidental coverage for their beloved and expensive Apple Watch.

If the Apple Watch manage to reach our shores, the AppleCare+ protection service should technically be available since it isn’t going to be sold exclusively at mobile carriers just like the iPhone. 9to5mac has spotted in the Apple US store that the AppleCare+ protection plan for the Apple Watch will start from $59 for the Sport model, $79 for the Watch model and up to $999 for the premium Edition model, which sounds reasonable enough if you are already able to pay for its premium price tag.

In the US, it seems that the Genius Bars will not be performing repairs of the Apple Watch on the spot if your watch fails you and they will be shipped off site, with the standard AppleCare protection you’ll need to send your watch back to Apple before they ship a replacement unit to you however with the AppleCare+ protection, Apple will ship a unit to you first and collect the broken unit on the spot, similar process just like most other Apple products.

The Apple Watch is set to go on sale on April 24th and release dates in Malaysia is still unknown and even our neighbor country Singapore doesn’t even get its first release this time, which means you’ll have to wait patiently for the watch to come and we’re not sure if the Apple Watch will come with a international warranty just like other Apple products.
