According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg (via iMore), Apple will be having a major design overhaul and upgrades for some of its products next year, namely the AirPods Pro, MacBook Air and iPad Pro.

AirPods Pro and MacBook Air will differ greatly in looks compared to their predecessors

In his latest newsletter, Power On, Gurman said that Apple has big plans for its devices next year; the new iPhone will be featuring major upgrades, the MacBook Airs and Mac Pros will be revamped with Apple silicon and there will be a new AirPods Pro.

The new AirPods Pro are expected to ditch the stems that is still apparent on the current AirPods Pro, albeit shorter than the usual AirPods.

Upcoming iPad Pro is unlikely to get a 180º change in design

He also mentioned that there’ll be an updated iPad Pro design; however, it is unlikely that there’ll be a significant change appearance-wise since the iPad Pro has just adopted the current design for two generations and the other iPad models are catching up.

For example, the iPad mini 6 that was launched last week is finally sporting the same design as the newer iPad Pro and iPad Air, while the latest iPad is still the same design-wise.

According to MacRumors, you should instead expect a new glass back that will support wireless charging.

We’re still waiting for Apple’s AR headset and foldable iPhone

Gurman also said that there’ll be more products to look forward to in the next two to four years. Future Apple Watches are expected to sport more health sensors and there may be a new product that’s a combination of the HomePod with Apple TV and FaceTime camera.

Other new products Apple fans can expect include a foldable iPhone and true AR Glasses — these products have been talked about since 2019.
