Remember the time when Apple announced the USD10,000 golden Apple Watch Edition? Well, that will soon become a thing of the past as Apple will no longer offer the golden Apple Watch.
Apple has been downplaying the presence of the gold Apple Watch Edition for a while now, with mentions of this particular watch being scrubbed off its Apple Watch product page sometime during the launch of the iPhone SE. With the reveal that the ceramic version of the Watch Series 2 being the new Apple Watch Edition, this means that the ridiculously priced golden watch will no longer be a part of Apple’s inventory.
The ceramic version of the Apple Watch Edition would also make it far more affordable than the 10k gold watch. Priced at USD1,249, the ceramic Apple Watch Edition is by no means cheap, but it is a much more feasible purchase for Apple diehards around the world.
