In addition to launching three new laptops to the TravelMate series, Acer has also decided to launch the Acer Chromebook 311 that will serve well in education sector.
The Chromebook 311 comes with a 11.6-inch HD display that is paired with a 180-degree hinge, making it convenient for discussion among students and teachers. It has a HD webcam that supports HDR which is also a 88-degree wide angle lens. In addition, the Chromebook 311 has HD stereo speakers and comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
That aside, the Chromebook is powered by Intel Celeron quad-core N4100 — a lower end processor that can manage daily tasks needed for education purposes — that is less costly. It has 4GB RAM and 32GB eMMC storage, and it runs on Chrome OS. In addition, Acer ensures that there are enough ports for its users by integrating two USB 3.1 Type-C ports, two USB 3.1 ports and one MicroSD card reader.
The Chromebook has a battery life of 12 hours and weighs only 1.26kg, making it a portable device but more importantly, it is spill resistant and with its durable design, the laptop can survive drops up to 122cm and also 60kg downward force.
The Chromebook 311 is priced at RM1,299Â and will be available in May 2019 at Acer official online stores and authorised resellers nationwide.
