Packard Bell is making a full comeback under Acer, with the 100-year-old technology brand using IFA 2026 to reveal a new identity and an unexpectedly broad collection of consumer products built around the slogan “Tech it easy”.
The relaunch is led by the 14.5-inch DotBook laptop, but the new Packard Bell is not limiting itself to PCs. Its first product wave also includes audio glasses, a suitcase-style vinyl turntable, headphones, a speaker, a 4G feature phone, creator accessories and even a connected mini-steamer.
A 100-year-old brand gets a much more colourful identity
Packard Bell was founded in Los Angeles in 1926 and originally became known for consumer radios before later expanding into televisions and personal computers. Acer says the relaunched brand is returning to that original idea of making everyday technology accessible rather than competing solely on high-end specifications.
The new visual identity revolves around a dot-based logo that hides the letters P and B, while orange, purple, green and yellow are used throughout the new product family.
DotBook is only the start of the new lineup
The DotBook is a 14.5-inch laptop designed for everyday browsing, streaming and work, but several of the surrounding products are arguably more unusual.
DotLoop is a portable suitcase-style vinyl turntable, while DotTune is a compact speaker and DotBass is a set of colour-matched headphones. DotLook takes the form of audio glasses capable of handling music and phone calls without requiring earbuds.
Packard Bell has also announced DotLine, a colourful 4G feature phone aimed at families and users looking for a simpler mobile experience, alongside the DotShine ring light and DotCombo keyboard-and-mouse set.
The brand is even partnering with startup Steasy on a connected mini-steamer, showing that Acer sees Packard Bell as a broader lifestyle technology label rather than simply another PC badge.
Pricing and availability
The DotBook will start from €499 in EMEA, while the DotLoop turntable starts at €149, DotLook audio glasses at €99 and DotBass headphones at €29. The DotTune speaker starts at €34.99, DotLine feature phone at €69, DotShine ring light at €39 and DotCombo keyboard-and-mouse set at €39. The Steasy mini-steamer starts at €199.
The initial products begin reaching European markets from September 2026, with further launches continuing through November. Acer has not announced whether the relaunched Packard Bell range will be sold in Malaysia.
