Samsung first introduced the Galaxy Beta Program last year when it was testing out the then new Android 6.0 Marshmallow for its devices. The day has finally come where the South Korean company has reopened the Galaxy Beta Program, for Android 7.0 Nougat this time. This beta program is available but only limited to Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users from selected countries.

If you happen to be from the United States, United Kingdom or South Korea and a Galaxy S7 series user, you’re eligible for the Galaxy Beta Program. Users from China will be able to take part in the program as well in the near future. Samsung has stated that applicants for the beta program are being accepted on a first come first serve basis. Succcessful program applicants will get a chance to taste Android 7.0 Nougat on their Galaxy S7 devices ahead of the rest, with the ability to experience Samsung’s new UX and software features based on the latest version of the Android operating system.

In order to be eligible, you have to be residing in the countries that were mentioned earlier, and you are required to possess an active Samsung account. Users can apply for the Galaxy Beta Program in two ways – by downloading the Galaxy Beta Program app via Galaxy Apps or through the Samsung Members app that is available on the Google Play Store. The announcement of the Galaxy Beta Program for Android Nougat is good news, meaning that the rest of the Galaxy S7 users will be getting their share of Android version 7.0 pretty soon. What do you think?
