I reviewed Western Digital’s My Passport previously and I love how I can easily access my files when I’m on the go without using a computer, the company is now back to introduce a new successor. The WD My Passport Wireless Pro now comes with 3TB of storage capacity and now features a faster SD 3.0 card reader, it offers an all day battery life and will support both Windows and MacOS. For those looking to transfer files wirelessly, WD has also upgraded the hard drive with 802.11ac connection for faster WiFi Direct transfers, the previous model comes with 802.11n connection.

Using the WD My Cloud app, users can easily access and backup files wirelessly to the hard drive, WD has also taken further effort to include Plex in the hard drive software so if you happen to store all of your media files on it, your Plex enabled streaming device will be able to stream them from the hard drive. To celebrate the launch, WD is running a promotion on its 11street official store, where customers will get to purchase the My Passport Wireless Pro at RM1,099 and get a free Sandisk 16GB Ultra SD card, if you really want the device badly but can’t fork out that amount of cash, 11street allows you to perform a 0% installment of up to 36 months depending on your bank’s credit card.
