Qualcomm’s new flagship chipset that is set to launch soon will apparently support 150W fast-charging, allowing smartphones to charge up their batteries just 10 minutes.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 – previously known as Snapdragon 898 – is set to launch later this month, at the company’s annual Tech Summit happening from 30 November to 2 December 2021.
Compared to the Snapdragon 888, its successor is said to have had major improvements as it features Samsung’s 4nm manufacturing process. With almost a 20% boost in performance, users can expect increased graphics performance.
According to leakster Digital Chat Station, the mass production for this chip has already started, however, only the second batch will provide this feature. Hence, we foresee support for 150W fast-charging in devices getting released in Q1 2022.
