Acer has has an eventful morning today as the company has revealed a total of six new products for the year, most of which first made their debut at Acer’s New York event earlier this year.
Headlining the launch today is the highly anticipated Switch Alpha 12, the industry’s first liquid-cooled 2-in-1 ultra-slim laptop. Powered by a sixth generation Intel Core processor, the Switch Alpha 12 comes with the company’s own proprietary liquid cooling technology. Called Acer Liquidloop, this cooling mechanism allows the Switch Alpha 12 to operate silently and reliably for the entire duration of its battery life. The Switch Alpha 12 also comes with an attachable keyboard, a multi-position kickstand, and the Acer Active Pen. The Switch Alpha 12 will have a 12″ display that has a 2160 x 1440 resolution and will retail from RM2,499.
Next on the list of laptops is the Aspire S 13. Measuring at only 14.58mm thin, the Aspire S 13 is one of Acer’s thinnest laptops. The Aspire S 13 is also an attractive looking machine, sporting diamond-cut effects on the edge of the C-cover as well as a stylish and premium Acer nano-imprint patterns on the metal top cover. Looks aren’t the only thing that the Aspire S 13 is good at as the laptop comes with a sixth generation Intel Core processor, a USB 3.1 Type-C reversible port, and integrated MU-MIMO functionality. Prices for the Aspire S 13 begins at RM2,799.
Also at the event is the Aspire R 15. Touted to be the thinnest 15-inch 360-degree convertible, this Red Dot award-winning laptop comes with an Intel Core i5 processor and is capable of lasting almost nine hours on a single charge. The Aspire R 15 has a retail price fo RM2,999.
Rounding up the laptop reveals are the Aspire E and Aspire F series. Made for day-to-day productivity, these laptops are outfitted with the latest sixth generation Intel Core processors, DD4 RAM and multi-user MIMO. Both laptop series also feature various trendy colour options and stylish textile patterns in metallic surface finish. Prices for the Aspire E series begins at RM1,699 while the Aspire F series starts at RM2,699.
Lastly, we have the R1 series of monitors. Available in 21.5″, 24″ and 27″ sizes, the R1 series of Full HD monitors boast an ultra-thin enclosure, measuring at only 6.6mm on its edge with ZeroFrame bezel for maximized viewing experience. Aside from its size, the R1 monitors comes with IPS technology that supports 178-degree wide viewing angles as well as Acer Flicker-less and BluelightShield technology. Prices for the R1 Monitors begin at RM479.
