There may be a new Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War game soon as the Dawn Of War Youtube channel has posted a video that states that an announcement is due tonight.
No information was given as to what will be announced during the event tonight, but all signs point to a Dawn of War 3. Seeing as Dawn of War 2 was first released in 2009, the time seems ripe for another Real Time Strategy game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. It is also entirely possible that Relic is out to troll us. After all, the last time Relic announced news regarding the Dawn Of War franchise, it turns out that the developer was teasing that Dawn of War 2 will be getting a new playable hero in the game’s Last Stand mode.
Whatever the case, should Relic officially announce a Dawn of War 3, this woulld be the first game in the franchise to not be published under now-defunct publisher THQ. The event is scheduled to begin at 3pm GMT (11pm today).
